It’s here! It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The Christmas season is upon us, my kids are SO excited, and I’m finished decking our halls for the season. Please come in! Let me show you around and how I’ve done a simple, country Christmas in greens, blues and pinks this year.

I’m thrilled to be hosting the Canadian Bloggers Home Tour this week for Christmas. Please make sure to visit all of the 28 other beautiful home tours featured this week. You can find all of the links at the bottom of this post. You’ll be sure to find so much holiday decor inspiration no matter your style!

We built our home ourselves in 2013. You can read more about that story right here. We (mostly) finished our porch last year. Normally I add more decorations to our porch for Christmas than this, but it has been SO cold lately (around -30 C with the windchill) that I haven’t been motivated to do much more than some simple wreaths.

For the nighttime, Hubby found one of those super-cool laser light projector things that spews out hundreds of green and red sparkles on our house. The girls think it’s so magical looking!

In our entry, I’ve placed a cute little wooden advent calendar and some fresh greenery on our shoe cabinet.

Fresh, green garlands grace the stair railing, and they’re finished with soft and sparkly aqua bows. This year, I’m keeping everything quite soft and simple.

It’s all about the fresh greens and a little bit of sparkle this season.

One inexpensive way to add festive decor to any space is to switch out the artwork. I’ve added my DIY “Joy to the World” sign to our gallery wall in the living room along with a free “Merry and Bright” teal watercolor printable that you can download right here.

Our family is still really enjoying our comfy and stylish new Paris sectional from The Brick in our main living room. We don’t miss the TV in here, and this sectional is the perfect piece for our Christmas family gatherings. It’s holding up really well, and we cuddle LOTS here!

I thought a Christmas tree in the far corner of the living room was the perfect spot to balance out the sectional. You can read more about our family-friendly rustic glam tree right here.

I’ve added a gorgeous, new floor lamp over the vintage chairs on the left – it’s the Bean Bronze Metal Floor Lamp from The Brick and I’ve had my eye on it for over a year. I love its vintage industrial look, and it’s a great price!

The lamp lights many a knitting or story-reading session in this corner of the room.

I love adding mounds of cozy textiles to our home at Christmas time. I have no problem piling on as many fuzzy and warm throws and pillows as I can find to our furniture!

The DIY plaid pillow, plaid blanket scarf and teal fur pillow are still here from our Fall look, and this deliciously furry white pillow is from The Brick.

I hung some pretty ornaments on our vintage door art in the room.

A stylish chair is perched by our tree so that the girls can sit and gaze at it.

On my DIY painted chest by the tree is our cute little nativity scene that the girls love to play with, and some more watercolor artwork behind. You can download this “Comfort and Joy” artwork for free right here.

The mantel is simple this year with some real greens mixed with faux greens, white candlesticks, globe lights, my DIY wooden electrical reel clock and our handmade stockings.

Behind our vintage chairs is the fun paper Christmas village the girls and I made together.

Now, we turn to the kitchen.

(Don’t worry – these rooms are never all this clean at once. I only photograph one at a time, and they’re only clean for the hour that I photograph. Let’s just have a mom-fantasy that the house looks like this all the time, mmmkay? OK.)

The dining table is decked out for Christmas dinner hosting in simple greens, aquas and whites. You can read more about our Christmas tablescape right here.

I really love how the scale of the Hancock Park Dining Set and Hutch looks with the rest of the kitchen. Simple green wreaths with aqua bows tie the kitchen cupboards in with the dining nook.

You can read how to make fresh greenery wreaths like my great grandpa makes them right here, or make some faux wreaths out of old faux garland like I’ve done here.

Random sprigs of fresh and real greens mixed with some seasonal baking and fruit help keep the kitchen looking festive.

Finally, let’s turn the corner to our formal sitting room where Little B is making mischief. She loves to sit and read here by the pink & silver tree!

I love how this flocked tree looks here, and you can see how I decorated it by watching this video on my YouTube channel.

I brought in a couple of extra chairs from my dining set in the kitchen to sit by the tree here. They look gorgeous in this space, plus they’re ready to bring over to the kitchen when our extra guests arrive for Christmas Day.

Head to toe perfect, I would die to come visit you there one day! AND can I say I had no idea you had a shop, I just went in to buy the map print to make that beautiful Joy to the world art… maybe you know someone that can hook me up? 😉 LOVE it all Christina, Merry merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family! Nothing but amazing and continued success is wished for you and yours! So much love and MAD respect! xo
