Flooring & Paint Choices – One Room Challenge Week 3

We’re a little behind in One Room Challenge updates this week as we’re patiently waiting for the drywall and priming to be completed in my parents’ lake house master bedroom. (You can see what I’m up to be reading through Week 1 here and Week 2 here.) Meanwhile, we’ve been nailing down flooring and paint choices for the room.

The entire home will feature beautiful whitewashed look laminate flooring (bottom left) with tone-on-tone white walls & trim. For the master bedroom, we thought it would be nice to add a little bit of colour into the walls with a soft green-grey (BEHR’s Hazy Trail – top center).

Once the drywall & priming is complete, we’ll get into the space and get to work – fast!

  1. Hi, I’m buying a complete project house. Well, maybe I should be honest and call it a total mess. It would be nice to keep video records of progress and, also, be able to share some of the lessons I’ve learned with interested DIYers. Any suggestions or tips to help keep me sane? I’ve done these awful remodels, before, and have always intended to keep photos and notes, only to have the process go out the window as soon as things get busy and crazy. I would like to not get to the end of this and say, “Another remodel with no notes. Maybe next time.”
