Do you ever wonder how high you should hang your newly framed photos or art? Let me share with you some decorator’s tricks that will make your artwork look great in your space! There are some standard measurements at which to hang art to make it look its best.

Watch this super-quick video below to see what measurements I suggest when hanging art:

Have a large piece of art to hang on your wall? Put the center of the art between 57 to 60 inches from the floor. The same goes with a gallery wall floating on a wall – make the center of the entire arrangement 57 to 60 inches from the floor. This is approximate eye level.

Have art you want to put over a piece of furniture like a chest, a sideboard or a headboard? Place it between 6 and 8 inches from the top of the furniture. It will look like it’s anchored to the furniture, but you’ll still have space to arrange items on top of the furniture.

I hope that helped give you some guidelines as you hang your own art and photos on your walls, and stay tuned to my YouTube channel and The Brick’s Facebook page every Tuesday for more simple home decor & DIY tips.
