It’s nearing the end of 2020 (hooray!), and today I’m sharing the most popular blog posts of the year here on The DIY Mommy along with your favourite DIY videos on The DIY Mommy YouTube channel!

This year was an interesting year for everyone, to say the least. Despite the weirdness of this year, my blog and YouTube channel have been more visited than ever. 2020 was the year that we wanted more ideas to make our homes feel like a cozy, welcoming haven and I was happy to help you do that. I’m thankful for YOU, my readers and friends – without YOU, I would not be encouraged to create, photograph and write as much as I do. I really, truly appreciate you.

Here’s another organization post that you loved! This one was fun and challenging because while my IKEA kitchen pantry has lovely pull-outs, it’s still quite small. Using inexpensive storage bins, DIY labels and upcycled containers I was able to organize this small pantry on a budget.

Budget-friendly decorating was really important this year, and it was such a great challenge to give our master bedroom a refresh using only items I already had on hand. A DIY bench made of scrap wood and a pillow made of scrap fabric were the highlights of this makeover.

Our RV renovation was my personal favourite project this year, and I was so happy to see that you enjoyed it too! It was another small space makeover, and I loved that I was able to make such an impact with paint and inexpensive decor accents. I can’t wait to start working on the bathroom and main bedroom makeover in the RV in 2021.

This comprehensive Cricut blog post was your #1 favourite blog post this year, and I was so surprised! You loved that I answered so many questions you have about the Cricut machine. I tried to make this as detailed but as to-the-point as possible and it sure paid off. There will be more Cricut tutorials coming in 2021!

And let’s not forget about your video favourites on YouTube! There was a lot of crossover, but a few unique pieces of content that were popular over there.

Here were the top 10 DIY projects on The DIY Mommy YouTube channel, some personal thoughts, and plans for 2021 DIY projects:

For 2021, I would like my DIY & decor content to focus on: budget-friendly room makeovers, comprehensive how-to tutorials, small spaces, organization, thrift flips, sustainable/reusable decor, Cricut projects, IKEA hacks and free printables.
