These delicious bagels have a soft center, chewy outside, and they only take 2 ingredients to make! They have a delicious and slightly tangy flavour and they’re packed with protein.

Remember my 2 ingredient Weight Watchers friendly “Fluff” dessert from last week? This is another recipe that’s low on calories, high in protein, and also has only two ingredients! If you top them with an egg wash and sesame seeds like I did here, these bagels are technically 4 ingredients, but they’re still SO easy to make. I was inspired by this Easy Bagel Recipe by Skinnytaste and tweaked it a bit by using self-rising flour and a whole egg for the wash.

If you like the taste of Greek yogurt, you’ll love that these bagels have a slightly tangy taste to them. If you don’t love Greek yogurt, I’ve heard that FAGE yogurt has more of a mild taste and you could give that a try.

To make these, all you’ll need is Greek yogurt and self-rising flour: that’s it! If you don’t have self rising flour, you can easily make some by adding 2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt to one cup of all purpose flour.

Mix one cup of Greek yogurt and 1 cup of self-rising flour in a stand mixer using your dough hook. You can also mix by hand, but I love the consistency I can get with my KitchenAid mixer.

Your dough should be soft but not too sticky. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour until you get the right consistency.

Divide the dough into four pieces, roll each piece into a rope, and then join the rope ends to form a bagel shape.

Brush the bagel tops with a whole, beaten egg.

Sprinkle the bagels with your favourite topping – here I’ve used sesame seeds.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes, or until your bagels are golden brown. Let them cool slightly and enjoy!

I love these plain, but you could also spread some cream cheese or your topping of choice on top. They also keep well in the fridge for a few days and taste excellent toasted. I love that they’re a great source of protein and only 3 Weight Watchers Freestyle Points each!
