When my daughters and I decided we wanted to enjoy the glow of our dining room tree for a while longer, I added some Valentine’s Day themed decorations to turn it into a Valentine’s tree. I kept it subtle with pink heart plaques from the dollar store, DIY fabric peonies, and white feathers.

How can I decorate my table for Valentine’s Day?
Looking for some Valentine’s Day tablescape inspiration? The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to transforming your dining experience into a celebration of love and romance. Set the scene with a candlelit centerpiece, featuring a mix of flickering candles and faux floral arrangements. Add a touch of whimsy with a trinket bowl filled with heart-shaped candies or chocolate kisses. With these simple touches, your Valentine’s Day table will become the perfect backdrop for creating cherished memories with the ones you love.
Romantic Centerpiece
Candles always make a space feel cozy and special. To create a romantic centerpiece for your table decor, find a tray and fill it with sparkly votive holders. I used some mercury glass holders and vintage pink glassware I had on hand. You could also use upcycled mason jars for this display. Place faux greenery around the holders, put tea lights in the holders, light the candles and enjoy the glow!
Simple Faux Floral Arrangement
Flowers are always a lovely addition to a room, and creating a gorgeous faux floral arrangement is so easy! I like to use this faux peony bundle from Amazon. Use wire cutters to separate each peony, then place 5-7 blossoms in a tall glass vase. For an added touch of realism, consider adding water to the vase.
Dollar Store Trinket Bowl
Customize dollar store heart-shaped bowls and make them into charming decor pieces with a touch of creativity! Add a watercolor effect using soft pink nail polish by brushing it onto the base. Tailor it further by applying vinyl letters for a personalized touch, or leave them plain pink for a more minimalist look. These little bowls make lovely additions to shelf or table displays for Valentine’s Day. For a sweet twist, consider coating them with a food-safe sealant and filling them with candies for the kids to enjoy!
