An adorable free Valentine printable with a slime theme

Here's a cute way to say Happy Valentine's Day!  When I found these little heart-shaped containers of slime at Dollar Tree this year, I knew they'd be perfect for classroom Valentine's Day gifts for my daughters’ school friends. These love bug "pets" are a really cute Valentine craft idea for kids!

Creating Valentine cards is my daughters' favourite time of year! They love helping me come up with DIY cards for their classmates. We thought up these love bug valentines together, and my daughters were totally smitten with these little guys! These handmade cards make sweet gifts for classmates and friends and they're a great non-candy Valentine idea. If you and your kiddos love crafting, this is a nice easy project with a template and instructions that everyone will love.

A Love Bug Kinder Surprise Valentine - Free Printable

Love Bug Kinder Surprise Valentine - Free Printable!

A few years ago, Little C and I thought it would be fun to give one of our favourite treats - Kinder Surprise eggs - to our friends as Valentines. I made a fun "love bug" printable to dress up the eggs for Valentine’s Day, which you are welcome to download! Check out this rare sighting of a Valentine’s Day craft from me with NO pun!

Make DIY Unicorn Valentines from Foam Hearts

DIY Unicorn Valentines from Foam Hearts

All three of my daughters are obsessed with a certain mystical creature, so they were very excited when I asked them to help me come up with a Valentine's Day gift idea that featured unicorns. Using mostly supplies we had on hand, we created these adorable little unicorn valentines made out of foam hearts that feature twisty pops for unicorn horns. They're quick to make, really unique, and a fun craft to do with the kids. All you need to create these cute valentine cards are:

    • foam hearts
    • twisty candy
    • glittery foam
    • permanent marker
    • rainbow yarn
    • hot glue gun
    • scissors
    • hole punch

I’ve included a free printable tag for you to give with them if you choose to hand these out as classroom treats! Click here for the full tutorial.

When we found some adorable heart-shaped pencil sharpeners and googly eyeball rings, I knew exactly what we could make. These fun, heart shaped valentines feature a couple of "punny" phrases that match the eyeball rings and pencil sharpeners we found. My daughters sat at the computer with me to design these, and when they saw this rainbow graphic they begged me to use it for our heart valentines. You really can't go wrong combining rainbows, stars and hearts! Come see our non-candy rainbow heart Valentines, and download your own to print at home!

For a simple and budget-friendly valentine for friends and family this year, print out my free bird & cupcake valentines on card stock and cut them out into squares. You can punch holes in the tops, tie them to a small bag of treats and use embellishments like raffia ribbon or baker's twine. I like to bake my favourite sugar cookie recipe, cut it into hearts, sprinkle with Valentine-inspired sprinkles, and put them in a small bag with jelly beans, a lollipop, chocolate, or cinnamon candy hearts. But you can do whatever feels best! So "tweet"!

Free Printable Tic Tac Toe DIY Valentine Cards with Pen

Tic Tac Toe Free Valentine's Day Card Printable featuring dollar store pens

When I found these sweet little Valentine themed pens at Dollar Tree, I was inspired to design some DIY Valentine cards to go along with them! My girls love to play tic-tac-toe, so I thought that would be the perfect theme. Of course, I had to create a silly pun because that's what Valentine's Day is all about, isn't it?! These say, "You're Tic-Tac-Totally Amazing, Valentine!" Print these adorable tic-tac-toe Valentine's Day cards for free! They will make a cute, non-candy valentine for your kids' classmates this year, and the pen is definitely not required to make this a fun little gift.
