Published: Nov 5, 2021 by The DIY Mommy · This post may contain affiliate links · This blog generates income via ads · Leave a Comment

There is nothing quite as festive as a beautiful Christmas wreath hanging on your front door to welcome your holiday guests.  While wreaths are a traditional staple in holiday decor, that doesn’t mean you don’t have options. In this list of 8 DIY Christmas wreaths, we have something for every style and skill level! Happy decorating 🙂

    Rustic Pom Pom Christmas Wreath

DIY Rustic Pom Pom Christmas Wreath

This DIY wreath is my favorite Christmas wreath to date! It features:

    • a huge & rustic grapevine base,
    • handmade pom poms (so easy with a pom pom maker!),
    • Dollar Tree bell ornaments,
    • wicker balls and greenery.

It is the ultimate Christmas or winter decor item for your living room or front door.

Shabby Chic Dropcloth Rag Christmas Wreath

DIY Shabby Chic Dropcloth Rag Christmas Wreath in Pink, Natural, Gold

Turn your home into a romantic and magical shabby chic wonderland with this Christmas-themed, fluffy dropcloth rag wreath. It’s easy and inexpensive, and uses faux greens and glass ornaments to turn plain dropcloth into something unique and festive!

    Faux Fur Wreath

    Faux Fur Glam Christmas Wreath

Make a gorgeous, glam DIY Christmas wreath using a hot glue gun, a foam wreath form, white eyelash yarn from the Dollar Tree, glitter snowflake-inspired brooches, faux greenery and black and white striped cotton ribbon.

    Neutral Grapevine DIY Christmas Wreath

Take glam in a slightly different direction with this calm and neutral-coloured DIY Christmas wreath. It features a grapevine base, black & white buffalo check ribbon, faux greenery and faux white peonies, and gold Christmas balls for a pop of color from the Dollar Tree.

    Picture-Frame Christmas Wreath

Glam Christmas Wreath from Ikea Picture Frame

Create this glam-inspired look by using an old Ikea picture frame as a base, and hanging Christmas decorations from its top with thin black velvet ribbon. Use a black and white striped bow to finish it off.

    Real Evergreen Wreath

How to make a real evergreen Christmas wreath

My kids and I love walking through the backyard (we live on an acreage, so it's basically a forest!) and collecting branches for this easy DIY Christmas wreath! Learn to make this completely natural pine wreath that looks beautiful both as a door decoration and as an advent wreath. Use floral wire to add red berries, bows, pine cones, or bells for personality, or enjoy as is. A gorgeous and versatile craft!

    Fast DIY Christmas Wreaths

    Romantic DIY Christmas Wreath

    Romantic Christmas Porch Decor

It is not always necessary to start from scratch with every handmade décor item you create! For this look, I simply removed the fall-ish accents (the fall leaves & pumpkins) from a grapevine wreath base, and added some Christmas accents (faux evergreen picks, gold ball ornaments, a gold star tree-topper and some pink velvet ribbon). Use your imagination!

Full & Gorgeous Christmas Wreath Hack

Learn how to put together a fresh greenery Christmas wreath that looks full and gorgeous with this easy wreath hack!

Sometimes, all it takes to make something truly breathtaking is your own personal touch on an existing item. If you don't want to make a fresh greenery wreath from scratch this holiday season, Costco sells fresh classic wreaths that make a great base to start with. Then, you can add your own unique style with faux greenery, Christmas ornaments, and ribbon. In addition to the fresh wreath from Costco, I also love to purchase their beautiful fresh garlands for my mantel or front porch!

Nothing puts me in the holiday spirit quite like listening to Christmas music and decorating my home! If you make one of these DIY Christmas wreaths (or a variation!), I'd love to see it! Tag me on instagram @thediymommy
