    Baby B's Soft Boho Nursery

Published: Apr 4, 2014 · Modified: Dec 26, 2022 by Christina Dennis · This post may contain affiliate links · This blog generates income via ads · 11 Comments

I'm simply obsessed with decorating kids' rooms! There's something so fun about childrens' spaces - I feel like I can go a little crazy with colours, prints and patterns when I work on my girls' rooms. I made the finishing touches on Baby B's room this week, and I'm really happy with the finished space. The vibe is soft, a little vintage, and a little bohemian. I had fun mixing patterns and textures in this space.

I started with this chevron quilt I made as a jumping off point...

... and the rest of the details of the nursery took off from there. I'm loving the yellows and pinks with the medium grey wall.

We painted this room before we knew that we were having Baby B. I was considering changing the colour, but I like how the soft accent colours work with the neutral colour on the wall.

The majority of the decor in Baby B's nursery is either handmade or reinvented from what we had. Our big purchase was this sturdy and practical change table from Sears - we've never had a change table before and it feels like such a luxury!

We bought this little moses basket when Little A was a baby, and it's the perfect size and shape for a newborn. I know the fabric doesn't quite match, but B's only going to use it for a few months and then we're going to do a switcheroo - Little A's crib will go here and we'll buy A a "big girl" bed!

This little cuddling corner is currently one of my favourite places in our house. It's where I nurse and snuggle little Baby B, and I'm trying to remember how fleeting this newborn stage is as I rock her here. (It's often tricky to remember this at 3am when I'm feeding her for the 3rd time that night and I'm exhausted, but it's true - babies grow up so fast!)

Now the majority of our second floor is finished... and very girly! In case you missed them, here are the other girls' rooms (click the thumbnails to see more pics):

Thanks for taking the time to tour Baby B's nursery with me!  Now, I have to find the motivation to finish our master suite so that the whole upper floor is done. Wish me luck!
