Have you been “unplugging” more this summer like we have? Have you been enjoying less screen time and more creative play time with your kiddos this month?

We sure have been loving the warm, summer days with each other and with our friends! We’ve been able to limit movie-watching to an hour or two after lunch (so Mommy can enjoy “quiet time” while Baby A naps!) and we’ve cut out our satellite TV for the summer.

Little C went to her first Passport to Imagination craft class at Michaels this week with her best buddies and she had a blast!

The $2 (yes, you read right… $2!) classes run all summer long from 10am to 12pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and feature different crafts highlighting places around the world. Monday focused on Japan, and my lovely Little C made this beauty of a cherry blossom painting:

She was so proud! She enjoyed crafting for a couple of hours, and I enjoyed a leisurely shop with my friends. What a fun way to spend a morning!

What have you been doing this month to enjoy summer with your kids?
