A happy, seasonal porch or stoop is a wonderful way to welcome your guests and family to your home.
Here are some simple ways to spruce your porch up this Autumn like I did this year:
Add a greenery garland
Garlands aren’t just for Christmas – try adding a green garland around your door to welcome Fall. I love this faux eucalyptus garland I found at Canadian Tire last year, and I’ll layer it with a real cedar garland for Christmas.
Make a simple Fall hoop wreath
A seasonal wreath makes your front door look welcoming and seasonal, and it’s so fun to add your personality to a DIY like this!

Add a floral arrangement
Use your DIY skills to make a simple little floral arrangement from inexpensive faux florals and place it on a table or lantern on your porch this Fall. I found this cute little pumpkin box at the thrift store, placed some floral foam inside, and arranged some flowers in my favourite colours on top of a table by our sectional.
Make the cutest welcome mat
I used a dollar store foam mat, a shower curtain and some poly sealant to make this adorable little “hello” mat to welcome our guests this season. You can find the step-by-step tutorial to make your own DIY welcome mat right here.
Happy Fall decorating!
