I don’t think you can ever have too many twinkle lights at any time of the year, and lights in the garden is no exception. This handmade light feature is so cute and easy to make! It also uses items from the dollar store, so it doesn’t cost much to create.

To make this watering can light feature, I spray painted a dollar store metal watering can with white spray paint. Next, I used some leftover black latex paint and painted the rim of the can with a small paint brush. I also added little splotches to the edges of the can to give it a vintage enamelware look.

Once the watering can was dry, I folded and hooked a long strand of copper wire fairy lights through the holes of the spout. I placed the battery pack of the lights inside the can, and then  hung the can on a dollar store plant stand over a plant in my garden.

I pulled the copper light strands down into the plant and arranged them so they looked light gently cascading streams of water falling on the plant.
