This video and post were originally published in February 2015, but I’ve shot a brand new video about this topic. Hope you enjoy!

Happy Friday! The last couple of weeks have been nuts with the flu descending on our house, so I’m pretty behind in the ol’ blogging game this week. I wanted to post this video a little later because I think I’ve posted a few too many lately, but I thought, “What the heck; I should share this today”. This is the answer to a question I’ve been asked a lot lately: “How do you do it? What does a day in your life look like?” In this video, I’m sharing with you my basic daily schedule as a mom of three girls aged 11 months, 3 years and 6 years, as a wife and as a DIY blogger.

A-Day-in-My-Life-2

Please note that this is my “basic” day, but there are a lot of variations. A normal day may look like this, but I do have other days (like weekends!) where we’ll be out for most of the day spending time with our family or friends. We also have days or weeks (like I mentioned in the first paragraph) that are almost total write-offs because we are sick with a bug or experiencing a stressful life event. That’s when I turn to my family and friends for help. I definitely don’t claim that I can do it all and be it all – I need help a lot! I’m very, very thankful that we have family close by that are very generous with their love & support for us.

Finally, before you watch this video, know that like everyone else in the universe I make some things priorities and let some things slide. For example, I take time to photograph pretty things and write blog posts, but my house is generally a gigantic, crazy, wonderful mess. That’s just one example, and there are other things that I’ve been known to sacrifice (like taking care of my health) for the sake of being a mom and an entrepreneur. I go through seasons, and I’m still learning how to juggle things wisely. I’m a work in progress.

So, here you go! Here’s a video about a basic day in my life. Below you’ll find my usual daily schedule. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch this and “hang out” with me. Let me know how YOU do it day-to-day in the comments below.
