Fun (Non-Scary) Halloween Snack Ideas for Kids

Published: Oct 28, 2014 by Christina Dennis · This post may contain affiliate links · This blog generates income via ads · Leave a Comment

Halloween is this Friday, and my girls (aged 5 and 3) are all excited to dress up as Elsa and Anna and have their baby sister (aged 7 months) tag along wearing a little Olaf hat. While our family doesn't like to take part in the scary or icky things that come with the day, we do like to have a little fun with silly things like funny looking monsters and pretend little ghosts. And of course my girls LOVE to dress up so we do go trick or treating!

This year, I thought it would be fun to prepare a special snack on Halloween for my girls. I brought my Intel All in One computer into the living room for Little C to play with and asked her to find pictures of silly Halloween snacks she liked:

I helped her look on Pinterest and at the Ready, Set Inspire Halloween link party I'm co-hosting. Our ASUS Intel AIO is great for browsing Pinterest and link parties because the screen is so big! Little C loves it because it's a touch screen, which makes it easy for her little fingers to use. I really like that I can set the AIO up in my office most of the time, and then easily transport it into another room so that the kids and I can comfortably use it together. The battery life on this machine is fantastic, so we can use it for hours away from the power cord in my office!

Here were some of Little C's and my favourite Halloween snack ideas for kids:

    • Mummy Cake Pops from Life is a Lullaby
    • Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats from Clean and Scentsible
    • Halloween Jello Jar Monsters from Echoes of Laughter
    • Coffin Crisp Mummies from Mom VS The Boys
    • Marshmallow Ghost Hot Chocolate from Life is a Lullaby
    • Boo-nana Pops from Skinny Taste
    • Spooky Boo Brownies from Betty Crocker

We're still deciding which one will win for this Friday's special Halloween snack, but I'm guessing it will probably be something silly and ghostly!
