When you find the perfect LBD (little black dress),  you just know it! Today I want to share with you a really fantastic dress that I found that suits my petite, curvy self, plus let me give you some more little black dress ideas for the Holiday season.

The Little Black Dress: Petite Curvy Mom Style

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any Petite Curvy Mom Style ideas, so let me be totally up front with you. I can’t keep myself looking nice and my house looking nice at the same time. It’s either one or the other! You might know the feeling? Lately, and especially these last few months, I’ve been working so hard at decorating and renovating our home that I’ve let my self-care completely slide. I’m not exercising as much as I should, I’m not eating that well, and I’m not getting enough sleep. I haven’t shopped half as much for myself as I have for our home!

I finally took a few minutes to look for an LBD (little black dress!) for the holiday season a couple of weeks ago. When it came in the mail and I slipped it on, I was SO pleased.

This dress is the Public Speaking Highly of You dress from ModCloth.

It’s a sheath style dress made of a nice, heavy knit that’s the perfect shape and material if you have a curvier body like mine. It hides my least favourite lump with a cute peplum-style detail at the waist, and it’s the perfect length for pretty much any occasion I’ll be attending this Christmas and New Year season.

I’d definitely recommend this dress if you have a figure similar to mine!

Here are some more little black dresses that I love from ModCloth that would suit a petite, curvy mama:

I still have a few more blog posts I need to share, but if you don’t see me much at the end of the month I’ll be taking a break. I need to recharge and regroup and be the best mom I can for my little girls. I’m going to enjoy the break over Christmas with my little family and refill my physical, emotional and spiritual tanks that are honestly a bit empty at the moment. Maybe you can do the same?

So, fellow mamas, remember to take breaks every now and then, realize you can’t do it all, get some help, and buy yourself a new LBD.

Merry Christmas, friends!
