These felt tree decorations can be left out all winter long! Their a cute addition to a winter tabletop display with the addition of faux snow and twinkle lights, or put them on your mantel for some rustic charm. I love how they look on our Luda Accent Table from The Brick. It’s the perfect, rustic combo!

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of hosting a DIY workshop with my friends at The Brick in Edmonton – who sponsored the workshop – and was able to meet so many other local crafters! I brought along all of the supplies to make these sweet little rustic felt & wood trees, The Brick supplied an area in their beautiful new West Edmonton Mall location for us to create, and we enjoyed a wonderful evening together.

I do so many crafts and decor projects alone, so it’s always a welcome change of pace to craft with friends! It was a lovely night where I got to meet so many new people and enjoy how everyone put their own spin on their tree duo.

Now, let me show you how to make these trees for your winter decor this year!

To make these rustic felt & wood trees, jump over to this Rustic Felt Christmas Trees Tutorial by Little House of Four and follow her instructions!

To make my trees, I followed Little House of Four’s directions with the following variations:

  • I cut each tree shape in half instead of folding them before gluing them on my sticks
  • I used 12 half tree shapes for each tree (so, 6 full tree shapes)
  • I added a bit of glitter/faux snow to my trees with Mod Podge

I did make my own tree template, and you can find that right here.

I love how these turned out and that I was able to share them with so many fellow crafters at the workshop this month. A special “thank you” to The Brick for sponsoring the event in their new West Edmonton Mall location! We had so much fun.
