If you’re looking for a yummy spin on your morning coffee this Holiday season, this DIY coffee syrup is IT! I love this recipe because it’s SO easy to make. You probably have most if not all of the ingredients for it in your pantry right now.

You can either add this to your black coffee, and then top it off with some whipped cream, or you can add it to your milk before steaming it for a latte.

This coffee syrup also makes a great gift. Put it in a cute mason jar and tie a bow around the lid. Add it to a coffee themed gift basket, and give it to your friend or neighbour!

Here’s the simple recipe for my gingerbread flavoured coffee syrup:

Gingerbread Flavored Coffee Syrup

Yield: 3/4 cup syrup
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

GINGERBREAD SPICE MIX:

  • 3 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1½ tsp ground allspice
  • ½ tsp ground cloves

SYRUP:

  • ⅔ cup maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp molasses
  • 1 Tbsp gingerbread spice mix
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

    1. Mix together the gingerbread spice mix ingredients and place in a small lidded jar.
    2. In a larger lidded jar, mix together the maple syrup, molasses, 1 Tbsp of the gingerbread spice mix and 2 tsp vanilla extract.
    3. You can use any leftover gingerbread spice mix for baking or more coffee syrup.
