My sister & brother-in-law’s tiny laundry room in their new loft condo functioned poorly and didn’t match their modern industrial aesthetic. Come see how we gave it a simple makeover with the help of Samsung and The Brick!

When my sister purchased her downtown Edmonton loft condo, there were two spaces in their new home that were dying for a makeover – the kitchen and the tiny laundry room. Now that their gorgeous kitchen is done (you can see that dramatic makeover here), we’ve now tackled my sister & brother-in-law’s mini laundry room and I love how it’s turned out! This little makeover was really simple, but it looks so much different. The new Samsung 5.2 Cu. Ft. Front-Load Steam Washer and 7.5 Cu.Ft. Multi-Steam™ Electric Dryer from The Brick have made the biggest impact on both the look and function of this little space!
Here’s how the laundry room looked BEFORE:
And here’s how it looks NOW:
This space is more like a closet than a room, and it has a very awkward shape. Some simple wall storage, DIY art, and of course a brand new Samsung laundry pair that makes my sister’s life a whole lot easier were all that was needed to give this room new life.
To fit this narrow but tall space the best, we used this Samsung Stacking Kit to stack the washer and dryer.
This new Samsung Steam Washer from The Brick is so much more quiet than my sister’s old standard ones and doesn’t shake at all when it spins. They love the deep steam feature; it makes things come out smelling extra clean. The Quick Wash settings are handy when they need something clean ASAP!
The Samsung Multi-Steam™ Electric Dryer is fast and has an Eco Dry feature that means it turns off early if it’s all dry so it doesn’t waste power. The sounds to indicate the dryer’s finished are really pleasant compared to the old one – they’re soft & musical while the old one had a frighteningly loud buzzer that used to scare them! There’s a back light in the dryer that’s incredibly useful to see items my sister and BIL are taking out, and they love the Diamond Drum interior that helps treat fabrics gently.
On the wall to the left of the laundry set, we hung some large format DIY art (you can download this laundry room art for free right here), a metal shelf, and a DIY laundry bag that I made from a plain white hanging hamper and a simple decal I made.
Aren’t these vintage farmhouse style laundry labels cute? They’re also a free download that you can print on to sticker paper, and I found them right here. Putting your laundry room products in jars decorated with cute labels is an easy way to up the style factor in your laundry space.
Some faux plants and a sisal basket that I found at The Brick in-store along with a colourful scatter rug completes this simple makeover.
I’m so happy that my sister & brother-in-law now have a beautiful but functional little laundry room in their new condo and that this Samsung laundry pair has made their lives so much easier! Their clothes wash faster, their laundry smells fresher, and this mini but beautiful space matches the rest of their home renovations so nicely.
Now tell me: What features do you look for in a washer and dryer?
