Our DIY House: How We Built A Home From Foundation to Finishing on Our Own (Video)

Published: Mar 18, 2015 · Modified: Mar 17, 2015 by Christina Dennis · This post may contain affiliate links · This blog generates income via ads · 12 Comments

In 2012, after 6 years of living in our tiny Garage House (if you missed it, here’s the grand tour), we decided to begin construction on a new, larger home on our acreage – “Our DIY House”. We broke ground during the first week in August of 2012.

It was challenging, exhilerating, growing, frustrating, fun... and our most exciting DIY project to date! Here's a little video about how we built Our DIY House. We're still not quite done, but we're enjoying the journey.

I am in need of a set of stairs out the back kitchen door. Right now there is a four foot drop from the floor to the ground. As you can imagine, it is easy to get out of the house. Getting back inside is another story.

      Hey there,
I’m from rural Southern Alberta, got watching you because of a garden video and saw your house. I love Foursquare houses, looking at plans ourselves for one. It’s been so exciting to watch how your house has come together.

Choosing the best balustrade systems supplier is just as important as choosing the type of balustrade you need. Great post!
