I still love our powder room and it’s bold wallpaper, but it was in desperate need of a good cleaning and organizing this month. With a quick trip to the dollar store and the thrift store, I was able to find some inexpensive items that helped make this space feel fresh and organized for Spring.

Here are some low-cost bathroom organization and decor items that work wonders!

Drawer Organizers / Trays

These plastic trays from Dollar Tree happened to be the perfect size for our top vanity drawer. When looking for drawer organizers, just make sure to pre-measure your drawers and bring your measuring tape along to the store to get the perfect sizes and amounts of organizing trays.

Kitchen Canisters

Glass kitchen canisters can work well in a bathroom too! These teal hobnail glass canisters were a huge score from Value Village, and I love how they look on our open shelves. Canisters are great for storing bathroom essentials like cotton balls and Q-Tips.

Wire Baskets

I adored these copper wire baskets from Dollarama, and they’re another fantastic tool to help organize bathroom vanity drawers. The large holes in them also work well to store awkwardly shaped items like curling irons.

Small Faux Floral Arrangements

The Dollar store usually has sweet little faux floral arrangements that look lovely on vanity tops but don’t take up too much space. I found this lavender one at Dollarama.

Cloches

Glass and wood cloches are another great thrift store find that can work as a decorative or organizational item in a bathroom. Here, I’ve popped a faux bird’s nest inside this one I found at Value Village for a Spring touch. I also loved these Dollarama ceramic bunnies for a bit of Spring, too!

The dollar store usually also has a great selection of soap dispensers for everyone’s taste and budget. This simple white dispenser is fresh and perfect in our powder room.

  1. Your small bathroom looks great and is very inspiring for me as I am about to tackle our small main floor bathroom. Mine is organized but b o r i n g.

  2. So springy after this winter. Love it. Will be using some of your ideas.

Thank you for sharing your ideas.

  3. Love how you organize and fit so much into a small bathroom! I’m taking notes for when I redo mine! The light and bright colors make it seem so open and more spacious!

  4. Christina, you are so lucky to have the choices you have in Canada. We have one Ikea in Ireland and it’s a 150 mile round trip for me and as a pensioner, it’s not practical. No Dollar Store nor Walmart so we pay through the nose for everything here. Love your channel. Just discovered you tonight and binge-watching everything. Loved that wallpaper in your 1\2 bathroom. Never seen that before. Great channel. Really enjoying it and TYFS.
