A Handmade Christmas: DIY Gifts for Men

Are you joining me in committing to a handmade Christmas this year? Here, I’ve linked up to my nine most favourite DIY Christmas gifts for men. I’ll admit that this one was HARD! I find it difficult to come up with handmade presents for men that they (or at least my husband) wouldn’t find cheesy and strange. I’m confident that these would be welcomed by a special man in your life!

Order Adorable Christmas Photo Cards (and a Coupon Code for You!)

We had the most beautiful Fall photos taken of our family this year by my talented friend Tangible Moments. Here are some of my favourites (though I loved them all):

I’m determined this year to send off our Christmas cards in as timely of a fashion as possible (usually I’m much too late and my Christmas cards end up being New Year’s cards, or they’re even not sent out at all)!

Tiny Prints has the most beautiful and on-trend Christmas photo card layouts I’ve seen on the web, and I’ll be using our precious family photos to order some photo holiday cards from their site this year. There are so many sweet ones to choose from, but here are some of my absolute favourites:

The colours in this card just pop and I love the multi-photo layout so that we could pack as many photos into our cards as possible.

I’m a sucker for kraft paper, and this card features a kraft paper-ish background with sweet and simple text.

This concept is brilliant – you can add little text snippets of the highlight’s of your family’s year beside your photo!

Here’s another one with a similar layout idea. I love the thought of sharing little bits and pieces of your year with your family and friends.

Finally, the colours (hooray – it’s turquoise!) and the patterns in this last card caught my eye. It’s simple, but the family photo is center stage and the message is beautiful.

I’m am SO excited to fiddle around with different card layouts and get my cards out on time this year!

Commit to A Handmade Christmas This Year

For the past couple of years, I’ve been making an effort to either make DIY gifts for my family and friends for Christmas or buy handmade gifts for them. I think handmade gifts are so full of thought and love, don’t you?

Here’s the mission statement I’m making for myself this Christmas season. If these sound like things you’d also like to commit to, I’d invite you to join me this year on A Handmade Christmas journey. I’ll be posting some fun Christmas gift tutorials and links to other gift idea tutorials in this blog series that I hope you’ll find useful.

Mission: I will give handmade DIY gifts to all of my family and friends this year. These gifts will be either made by me or handmade by someone else. The only exceptions I’ll make are books and photo gifts.
