My daughters were introduced to s’mores only very recently, and now that they’ve tasted these roasted marshmallow sandwiches from heaven, they’re hooked! As a fun surprise for them for this Canada Day long weekend, I thought it would be fun to set up a patriotic s’mores bar on our patio. This is the time of year where we start longing for Spring to come, especially here in Alberta, Canada where the snow is still up to our knees. In faith that Spring will indeed come soon, I’ve decorated our mantel with fresh and faux florals and greenery. It’s instantly brightened up our living room, and the sight of blooms makes me hopeful that Spring is just around the corner. Come take a mini tour of our fresh, floral Spring mantel decor, and make sure to visit the bottom of this blog post to see several more beautiful Spring mantel decor ideas from my blogging friends!Continue reading
Happy February, friends! Last month, I shared that my “word for the year” is hygge. Hygge is a beautiful Danish word that’s hard to translate into English, but it’s essentially a deep sense of coziness and well-being. I’ve been trying to embrace Hygge during these cold, Alberta winter months by baking more comfort foods, enjoying the company of my family and friends, doing lots of crafts, and decorating with my favourite cozy essentials. Let me share how I’ve decorated our living room for winter and 5 things that will help you create your own cozy, hygge space in your own home!
