“Glorious and Free” Printable Art for Canada Day

“God keep our land glorious and free.” It’s one of my favourite lines in our country’s national anthem, and I’m so glad that I get to call Canada my home. It’s my glorious, free home and I never want to take that for granted! Canada is glorious because of its natural beauty – we love our home on the gorgeous Alberta prairies, and we also love visiting our Rocky Mountains to the West. Our Canada is also free. We have freedom of expression, of equality, of speech, of religion, and so much more here. I am thankful to live here, and so happy that we’re able to raise our babies here too. In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday this Saturday, I’m sharing some free printable art with you!Continue reading

I Choose Love Free Valentine Printable Artwork, Desktop Wallpaper & Phone Wallpaper

“Love is patient, love is kind.” You might be familiar with this Bible verse. It’s one of the most popular verses about love there is and it’s often recited at weddings and printed on artwork. We even have this verse hung on a sign in our master bedroom. I adore this verse, and I think it’s such a good reminder about how we need to CHOOSE to love. It’s not a fluffy feeling, it’s not a fleeting thought… it’s a choice to be unselfish and graceful and forgiving. My marriage, my motherhood, and my friendships have their ups and downs and things aren’t always sparkles and rainbows, but I want to CHOOSE to love my hubby, my friends and my kids through all of the trials we might face. I often need a reminder of how I need to choose to love, so I’ve created this pretty, floral artwork in honour of LOVE and in preparation of Valentine’s Day coming soon. Would you like this artwork, too? I’ve created a free printable artwork download just for you, along with free downloadable desktop wallpaper and free iPhone / smart phone wallpaper. Hooray for love!Continue reading

Raise your hand if you’re a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to school-related things in June. Anyone? Anyone? Is it just me? I feel like June is so tricky for kids and parents alike. You’re THISCLOSE to summer break, so everyone is a bit antsy, a bit exhausted, and I’m sure feeling SO not on the ball about anything right now. Teacher gifts? I’ve only just realized I need to have those ready for tomorrow and Tuesday. Jeepers creepers! (Or “jeepahs cweepahs”, as Baby B would say.) Well, I’m sure happy that I know my way around Adobe Illustrator and love a good pun so that I could quickly come up with some printable gift card holders for our wonderful teachers. Free “You’re the Best Pop!” Printable Father’s Day Gift Labels

Father’s day is coming up soon, and the girls and I have a couple of gift ideas for my husband that we can’t wait to give him this year! One thing that my hubby enjoys doing after a long day’s work is relaxing in his new man cave and cracking open a pop. (Or a soda, for my American friends.) And he says, and I quote: “Pop tastes so much better in a glass bottle.” For a simple Father’s Day gift this year, my daughters and I are going to give him a case of pop in glass bottles with these fun printable labels.Continue reading
