Cut a long piece of macrame cord of its spool, and begin wrapping it around the metal hoop. Tack it with hot glue at the beginning, and then about every 10 wraps to keep it in place.
Next, cut 20 lengths of macrame cord that measure about 20" long each. Attach them to the bottom of the hoop using a lark's head knot. Don't know the knot?
Using the first four strands of macrame cord on the right hand side of your hoop, create a square knot about 2" down from the hoop. Repeat until you've created 10 square knots across the bottom of the hoop.
Unravel the bottoms of the cords, brush them out with a hair brush, and then trim the bottom of the piece to your desired shape.
