What to Wear With Skinny Jeans This Fall + A Jewelry Giveaway!

September 14, 2015 By Christina Dennis 16 Comments

It’s that time of year! It’s time to dust off the scarves and boots and enjoy Fall fashion. It’s so weird – every year at this time I get the clothing bug and I put a little more effort into my everyday “mom uniform” than I usually do. I don’t know if it’s because I love Autumn clothing so much or because my birthday is in September, but whatever the reason this is my yearly pattern.

This year, I’m embracing skinny jeans (or jeggings) and booties. If you missed my first petite curvy mom style post of the season, you can see all of my wardrobe basic picks over there with links to everything. Today I wanted to share with you some top ideas that I think pair well with skinnies for Fall. Plus, you’ll want to scroll to the very end of this post to enter to win some Elle Bliss Jewelry jewels and get an exclusive coupon code. They’re gorgeous and I loved how my Elle Bliss necklace and bracelets finished off these looks!

The skinny jeans featured here are these hi-rise jeggings from American Eagle Outfitters. They slide right over my mommy tummy; I love them. Thanks to my friend Becki for recommending them! The booties here are from Payless: Nude Ankle Boots.

First off, you can’t go wrong with throwing a basic, loose tee or knit tunic top over some skinny jeans. I like my tees to cover at least the top half of my bum when I wear skinnies – it’s totally a personal preference – and you can’t tell by these photos but this top dips in the back and does just that.

Skinny Jeans, Gray DIY Tee, Tan Booties

I actually DIY’d this tee, and I’ll share with you how I did it soon. It wasn’t too hard!

Here’s my yikes-I’m-33-on-Sunday face. But, seriously – my 30’s have been fantastic so far. I’m thankful for every year that God grants me down here on this beautiful Earth with my indescribably wonderful family and friends. I don’t take birthdays for granted and I can’t wait to see what adventures year #33 holds for me. I pray that I can make a positive difference somehow this year – whether it’s in three little lives (my baby girls!) or more.

Next, I’m loving wearing plaid for Fall and a plaid button down tunic looks so cute with skinny jeans! Wear this belted or loose, and it makes a great pick-the-kiddo-up-from school outfit.

I’m also enjoying wearing tunics or short dresses with long sleeves over skinny jeans. This boho number is just so cute! This is a great way to extend the wear of your summer dresses too. Put ’em over jeggings!

Finally, a more sophisticated, long blouse in a flowy fabric dresses these jeggings up ever so slightly. This could be a cute date night or girls’ night look!

The back of this one dips down too, so I’m loving how it looks with skinnies.

Throw a black blazer over this outfit, wear some heeled black booties with it, and you’ve got yourself a put-together look that’s not actually that hard to put together at all.

Blazer: Express Black Knit Blazer.

And don’t forget about the icing on the cake: the jewels.

Elle Bliss Jewelry Agate Slice Pendant

This smoky blue agate slice pendant from Elle Bliss Jewelry is stunning, don’t you think? The dainty gold chain makes it a perfect piece for a sophisticated outfit, and it even looks beautiful with a plain tee.

Elle Bliss Jewelry Bracelets

These bracelets are also gorgeous and sparkly, and their such a simple thing to add to your Fall outfit to make it extra special.

Guess what?! Elle Bliss Jewelry is offering my readers 15% off her beautiful jewels until October 15, 2015! Just enter the code FALL15 when you’re purchasing pieces from her shop.
