What makes this slime “unicorny”, you ask? It’s the combo of the trio of pastel colours, the additional glitter and the magical way it feels like a big ball of marshmallows!

Shaving cream makes this slime feel super duper fluffy, but it still spreads and stretches.

If you don’t like using borax to make your slimes, you can use a combination of baking soda and eye drops (saline solution) instead, but we have the most success with borax in our slime recipes. It makes our slime less sticky and more stretchy and fun to play with.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp borax
  • 1 cup warm water
  • ½ cup white glue
  • 2 cups shaving cream
  • 1-3 drops food colouring
  • iridescent glitter
  • 1 tsp eye drops

Instructions

    1. Dissolve 1 tsp of borax in 1 cup of warm water and set aside. We keep this solution in a jar for future slime making.
    2. In a large bowl, mix together the white glue and shaving cream. Add 1-3 drops of food colouring and a couple of Tbsp of glitter if desired. Mix together.
    3. Mix in the borax solution, 1 tsp at a time, until the mixture pulls completely away from the sides of the bowl. Knead in 1 tsp of eye drop solution, and continue kneading the slime until it's smooth and stretch, but not sticky.
    4. Store the slime in an air tight container for up to 1 week.

    1. Hello Helen,
You can use borax instead of eye drops. The fluffy party of the slime is from the shaving cream 🙂

      Hope that helps 🙂

  1. So I used this recipe minus the eye drops and instead of standard men’s shaving cream I used a lightly scented lady’s kind which had a blue tint. We added food coloring for a purple hue, some red and a little blue. Everything came out great PLUS the ladies shaving cream made the slime really pretty and shimmery!

    1. That’s so awesome, Jane! We love the idea of using lady’s shaving cream. What a great way to glam it up!

  2. If I don’t have glitter could I use some glitter paint for glitter and colour and eliminate the food colouring?
