We recently celebrated the renovation of my sister and brother-in-law’s kitchen with a fun little “chic tiki” party. I’ll share more about it soon with some simple appetizer and decor ideas, but I thought that today I’d share with you a couple of tasty cocktails that we served at the party.
Signature cocktails are a great way to make any get-together feel special, and these recipes were made for us by Rylan of dashmixology here in Edmonton. My personal favourite was the coffee mai tai (I love anything coffee), but the pina colada was fresh and delicious too!
Nobody’s Poet” 1 at a time chartreuse pina colada: 1.5 oz white rum 1/2 oz green chartreuse 1 oz pineapple juice 1 oz coconut milk 3/4 oz lime juice 1/4 oz simple syrup (1:1) Shake with ice or blend with ice: hurricane glass, pineapple leaves, lime wheel…. go crazy with the garnish Coffee mai tai 1oz white rum 1oz dark rum 3/4 oz lime 1/2 oz dry curaçao or triple sec or Cointreau 1/2 oz coffee orgeat
One-at-a-Time Chartreuse Pina Colada
- 1.5 oz white rum
- 1/2 oz green chartreuse
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz coconut milk
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 1/4 oz simple syrup (1:1)
- Shake with ice or blend with ice: hurricane glass, pineapple leaves, lime wheel…. go crazy with the garnish
Coffee Mai Tai
- 1oz white rum
- 1oz dark rum
- 3/4 oz lime
- 1/2 oz dry curaçao or triple sec or Cointreau
- 1/2 oz coffee orgeat
- Shake with ice and serve in a hurricane glass.
