Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to add a touch of sweetness to your home than with a handmade wreath? Today, I’m sharing fun project that won’t break the bank – an Easy Beaded Valentines Wreath DIY using budget-friendly supplies from Dollarama. Let’s make it!
Even thought it’s a quick little holiday, I love decorating my home with Valentine’s Day decorations in February. My daughters enjoy the holiday, and as a lover of pink it just makes sense! Valentine’s Day wreaths are an easy item to make, and you can display them anywhere for added festive charm. Let’s make the easiest heart wreath with Dollarama supplies!
Materials Needed:
- Beaded wreath form (round if you can bend it, or heart-shaped – I found my wreath form at Dollarama)
- Alternatively, use a heart-shaped grapevine wreath form like this one from Amazon
- Faux pink dahlia stem (or whatever florals you want to add – baby’s breath, roses, or peonies would also be pretty!)
- Wire cutters
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Dollar store pink velvet ribbon
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Head to your local Dollarama and grab the essentials – a beaded wreath form, a faux pink dahlia stem, wire cutters, a hot glue gun, and some dollar store pink velvet ribbon.
Step 2: Shape Your Heart
Start by taking the beaded wreath form and gently molding it into the shape of a heart with your hands. I pushed down on the top middle, and then pushed in the sides, then finally pinched the bottom to make the bottom V-shape of the heart.
Step 3: Adding the Bloom
Using wire cutters, snip off the blooms from the faux pink dahlia stem. These will be the blossoms adorning your heart-shaped wreath. Attach them to one side of the heart with hot glue, creating a visually appealing arrangement.
Step 4: Finishing with a Bow
Embellish your romantic wreath by tying a bow using the dollar store pink velvet ribbon. Once you’ve got the perfect bow, secure it beneath the flowers with hot glue. This adds a touch of elegance… and bows are so on trend this year!
Step 5: Admire Your Handiwork
Now, take a step back and admire your beautiful creation. This is such an easy Valentines wreath DIY, but it’s SO cute. I like to rest mine on an angle on my mantel, and pair it with other romantic decor like gold candlesticks and floral art.
This would also look adorable hung on a front door!
