Hearts, hearts, hearts. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love ’em. My daughters do too, but it’s one of those chicken & egg things – I’m not sure if they naturally like them or if I’ve influenced them to like them. Regardless, we do a whole lot of crafts and art around here with heart shapes. Last week, Little C and I made a book page wreath and it was her idea to make it into the shape of a heart to display on our mantel for Valentine’s Day coming up. I never thought I’d be working on a Valentine’s Day mantel design, but the fact that Little C loves V-Day so much makes me excited for a lovey-dovey mantel too!

Video tutorial: How to make a heart book page wreath

One of my goals this year is to shoot more video tutorials, so Little C and I filmed ourselves making this wreath, and it’s my first video on my brand spanking new YouTube channel! Yes, I finally figured out how to make one of those. Hooray for accomplishments! I’ll try to post a new video each month, so please don’t hesitate to let me know in the comments below which tutorials you’d like to see in video form. I defintely want to re-do my infinity scarf video tutorial as well as make a video on how to make these baby slippers.

For this heart shaped, fluffy book page wreath, you’ll need:

  • a piece of cardboard big enough to cut out the wreath base (I used two that I glued together)
  • a stack of pages ripped out of an old book (approximately 9 x 5″ size)
  • a glue gun
  • a TON of glue sticks
  • ribbon or lace to hang the wreath

That’s it! Now, here’s our video tutorial on how to easily make the wreath. I hope you enjoy it & thanks for watching!

  1. This is sooo cute! I haven’t even begun to think about Valentine’s Day yet, but I’d say i better get to it. I have been seeing a lot of projects in the past week.

  2. This wreath is so cute, I just had to make my own! Your tutorial was concise and easy to follow! Thanks for taking the time to make that! I linked to it in my blog.

  3. it is extremely difficult to search and find things on the website and youtube. I was looking for the neutral valentine heart you made back in 2015 I linked from another site then tried to search on your website then the youtube – sorry no luck finding it.

  4. Very sad, unable to watch the video and can not find on you tube, can you please send me the link. Thank you

    1. The video shows, until I click on it, then all I get is a blank space. Thanks for the link to YouTube. Couldn’t find it there when I followed another link.
