Looking for a heartfelt and creative way to celebrate the amazing moms in your life this Mother’s Day? Look no further! I’ve got a fantastic DIY project that’s as beautiful as it is unique. Introducing: this cozy & romantic DIY Mother’s Day Basket Idea. It’s a simple yet stunning gift that any mom is sure to love.

This Mother’s Day Gift Basket idea is definitely one that I would love, so I’d be proud to give it to anyone! It’s a collection of some of my favourite tabletop decor, and the neutral colours of this collection of items would look lovely in any recipient’s space. Here’s how to put this beautiful gift set together!

You Will Need

Now, let’s get crafting!

Prep the Basket

Start by giving your thrift store basket a good clean. We want it to look as fresh and lovely as possible.

Fill ‘Er Up

Next, fill about three-quarters of the basket with natural-colored paper shred. This not only adds a decorative touch but also provides a soft base for your goodies.

Add the Items

Now it’s time to start layering in the items. Begin by placing the heart-shaped wooden dish in the center of the basket. It’s the perfect base for building your arrangement.

Nestle the small dried floral arrangement next to the wooden dish, securing it in place with the pink velvet bow. This adds a lovely pop of color and texture to the basket.

Carefully drape the handmade beaded garland into the bowl. The addition of the lava rock heart bead not only looks gorgeous but also allows Mom to enjoy her favorite essential oils.

Light up Mom’s day with the lavender and vetiver scented candle. Place it strategically in the basket, nestling it into the paper shred.

Don’t forget to include a small vial of matches for lighting the candle. These pink ones from my shop are not only practical but also add a playful touch to the arrangement.

Optionally, you could finish off the basket with some little treats like a bag of cookies, a chocolate bar, or whatever mom’s favourite treat is!

Personalize It

Finally, attach a gift tag to the basket to add a personal touch. You can download these for free from my blog by clicking right here. Simply print them out onto cardstock paper, cut them out along the lines, and attach them with some twine to the basket.

And there you have it – a beautiful and unique DIY Mother’s Day Basket that’s sure to make Mom feel loved and appreciated.

Now, let’s sprinkle in a few more ideas to inspire your Mother’s Day gifting!
